Panel: Compassion in the Age of Polarisation
Satvir Gill (she/her) is a clinical psychologist who has worked in a range of sectors since 2008. She now runs a private clinical psychology practice that offers mental health assessment and therapy to adult clients from all walks of life, as well as clinical supervision to psychologists in various stages of their careers.
Satvir’s style of therapy offers a space to work through any issues that interfere with becoming the fullest version of oneself. This includes a relational and depth-based approach and a focus on ancestral narratives that move down from one generation to the next. Similarly, the heart and soul are emphasised, not just the intellect and boiling people down into ‘symptoms’.
As a woman of colour and a feminist, Satvir is passionate about untangling layers of patriarchal influences on a client’s internal narrative. When she is not seeing clients, she can be found practicing yoga, listening to podcasts, spending time outdoors and connecting with her loved ones.
