Catherine is a Strategic Communications Consultant and a Publisher. With over a decade of experience working in PR, Marketing, and significant experience in strategic partnerships. She is the founder and director of Emerge Media Group, a PR & Brand communications agency, and a Publishing business.
Originally from Kenya, Catherine moved to Australia 4 years ago and after a short stint in corporate Australia, she immersed herself in the entrepreneurial and media space. Her journey of migration and settling inspired her to launch the first-ever EmBA Magazine, now known as Emerge Magazine AU, that publishes diverse stories of successful migrants, and a business catalogue that connects people with migrant-owned businesses.
Catherine is passionate about culture and media, and was recently named a Finalist in Agenda Setter, in the Women's Agenda Leadership Awards 2022. Her goal is to influence change for inclusive and sustainable economic growth through bold alliances.
Catherine is also a Regional Advisor, for the Victorian Multicultural Commission, a vice president for African Professionals Australia - Vic chapter, and serves on various other boards.
