The 8 Percent Festival is an event with a difference! Our aim is to make the event informative and insightful, but also fun and exciting!
Each of the 2 days starts with a talk by one of our special keynote speakers, who we have chosen to inspire and motivate you in different areas of your life and business.
We then move into the first of our Think Tanks.
Think Tanks are where we put a group of the brightest minds on stage to answer a pressing question that affects business, the arts, or society in general. We might ask them to redefine the role of record companies in the new era of the music industry dominated by the internet. We might ask them to come up with a new way of thinking around the refugee crisis in Australia. We might ask them any number of things!
To keep things interesting, YOU also get to be involved in the Think Tanks. You can submit your questions or ideas for the guests to discuss as they try to decide on the most effective and innovative approach to their topic.
Read more about the Think Tanks here.
Our Breakout Sessions run in the middle of the day, after the first Think Tanks. These are interactive and hands-on sessions designed to give you a leg up with an area you need help with.
You will be in the same breakout group over both days, giving you a chance to learn, and then put what you've learnt into practice. We will release more details of your breakout track sessions and hosts soon, but we can tell you this - they're going to be FUN!
Read more about the breakout sessions here.
The day is then closed out by one of our inspirational keynote guests.
We have scheduled breaks during the day, for lunch, snacks, posting selfies on Facebook, etc.
